Our 5 Facet Plan

Education and Communication

Train people how to prepare their homes and families for a disaster. Help communicate events to media. Manage communication flow into center during a disaster.

 

¨        Technical, Communications, Advertising, Media, Public Speaker, Teachers, Educators

 

Facility Management (People and Structure)

Make sure that evacuees will have adequate supplies, food and shelter.  Check in evacuees, provide a welcoming environment, counseling and spiritual needs.

 

¨        Logistics, Administrator, Counselor, Manager, Minister, Care Givers, Teachers, Day Care Workers (including adult daycare)

 

First Aid and Transportation

Provide limited first aid in the shelter and in the community. Provide transportation to the shelter and to hospitals or other facilities if able. 

 

¨        Medical, Safety, Scout Leader, Professional drivers, Drivers with CDL, First Aid Trained, Scout Leaders & Former Scouts

 

Reconnaissance and Assessment

Go into the community once the immediate danger of the disaster has pasted to assess damage and to see what resources we can apply to assist.  What help is needed, who needs it first?

 

¨        Analytical, Construction, Manager, Analytical

 

Restoration and Growth

Begin to rebuild the church body and community physically, emotionally, spiritually.  Help people get their lives back in order by helping them find housing, get finances straight and find ministries to serve in.   

 

¨        Minister, Compassionate, Outreach, Compassionate, Creative, Real Estate/Property Management
